This tool works out what to build on your planets and how much
you will make. You enter what you have, it does the arithmetic. Nothing is saved
to a server and it never asks for your EVE login.
The short version
- Pick your goal: the product and how you define “best”. That is all the tool
demands — sourcing is suggested for you and typical values can stand in for
the rest until you provide your own.
- Enter your characters — each one individually, with their real skills.
- Enter your planets and their scanned resource values (search a system, drop in screenshots, or type them).
- Enter your costs — tax, fees, shipping (or apply a typical space-type preset) — and load or enter Jita prices.
- Press Solve (it unlocks once everything your goal and detail level need is defined) — you get a build sheet per character, plus the analytics that explain it.
Step 1 — Your goal
Four ways to define “best”: most output of your chosen product (then
priced honestly — a loss shows as a loss), a quota (minimum colonies to hit a
weekly amount), a login budget (best net within your sessions per week), or
compare everything (the profit ranking across every product your operation could
make). Pick one and the rest of the section appears — only what that goal needs.
Compare works in two steps: first the ranked list, then you pick a product
(“Plan this”) and get its full best path — colonies, build sheet and
analytics — with your goal switched to that product so the choice stays visible.
Sourcing decides where each input comes from: extract it,
refine it from bought ore (150 units of ore per unit made — roughly 1.9×
the customs and 4× the freight of buying finished), or buy it finished.
You do not have to decide this: it defaults to Suggested — the tool picks per
input from your goal, your scanned systems and (when loaded) prices, and the result
names every choice with its reason and what the alternatives were worth. Pin an input
under Adjust sourcing only to overrule it.
Detail level is the accuracy-for-convenience dial. Quick estimate answers
immediately: unscanned densities assume your security band’s typical value and
typical costs are prefilled — every such number is clearly labeled an estimate with
the exact assumptions listed. Refined requires your real scans (typical cost
presets still allowed, still labeled). Exact means everything is yours —
scans entered, cost rates edited or confirmed — and only Exact prints unlabeled
numbers. The band density assumptions (High sec 30%, Low sec 60%, Null sec 90%,
Wormhole 100%) are typical-yield anchors, not game data — CCP publishes no density
table — so replace them with scans when you commit.
Each planner section has a ⟲ Reset button that clears only that
section back to defaults, after asking.
Step 2 — Your operation
Every character is modeled individually. One character can run six planets at
most, and that needs Interplanetary Consolidation V. If your main runs six and two
alts run one each, that is eight colonies, not eighteen — the tool adds up what you
tell it. From 1 to 50 characters, and a one-character operation gets the same rigor
(in fact small operations get a provably optimal answer, because they can be
searched exhaustively).
Extraction program length is how long you set your extractors to run. Short
programs give more per week but need more logins. Six hours is full pace; a day gives
about 81% of it; a week about 34%. The Results section can show this trade as ISK per
week and ISK per login, so you can pick what fits your life.
Step 3 — Your systems & planets
Resource values come from your in-game planet scan. Enter the raw per-cycle
value the survey shows; the familiar percentage appears alongside. Values above 100%
are real and the tool never caps them — but it also never claims output your
buildings cannot physically process. When a hot planet outruns its factories, the
tool says so and proposes a bigger layout instead of inventing units.
The screenshot reader fills planets in from survey screenshots, entirely in your
browser. Check its work — it is a convenience, not a data source.
Step 4 — Costs & market
- Space-type presets — one tap fills typical High/Low/Null/Wormhole
rates (each figure’s rationale is on its button). Presets are typical values,
not yours — results stay labeled as estimates until you edit the fields or press
These are my real rates.
- Customs tax — what your POCO or skyhook charges. The game taxes fixed
base values per tier, not market price — the tool gets this right.
- Sales tax and broker fee — what the market takes when you sell.
- Price basis — instant hits existing orders (no broker fee, worse
price); patient lists orders (broker fee, better price, if they fill). This is
real money and the tool prices both honestly.
- Shipping — ISK per cubic metre, charged on real cargo volume.
Step 5 — Results
Four ways to define “best”: most output of your chosen product (then
priced honestly — a loss shows as a loss), a quota (minimum colonies to hit a
weekly amount), a login budget (best net within your sessions per week), or
compare everything (the profit ranking across every product your operation could
make).
Every result names its bottleneck (add capacity there first), its
answer quality (exact, or within a measured percentage of the best possible),
and reconciles every ISK to one ledger you can open and read line by line. A plan
that loses money says so with a minus sign — losses are never hidden.
Results also disclose their honesty about YOUR inputs: a Sourcing — chosen for
you card names every suggested extract/refine/buy choice with its reason, and any
number built on a stand-in (assumed densities, preset costs) carries an amber
ESTIMATE banner listing exactly what was assumed and where to replace it.
Each colony card in Plan by character carries a one-click Copy
template: a byte-exact community template from the PI Templates library when one
matches that planet type and product (credited), otherwise a layout generated for
that colony — anything generated is flagged ⚠︎
and must be verified in game before you trust it. Any difference between the
template and the plan (facility count, command center level, encoded planet type)
is listed right under the button.
The reference sections
- Market Reference — live Jita prices for all 101 items with trends.
- Price History — the same data charted, plus live order-book depth.
- PI Templates — ready-made colony layouts. Copy, paste in game, done.
- System Status — whether EVE and its API are up.
Saving your work
The tool autosaves to your browser as you type. Save My Data downloads
a file; use it to move between computers or keep a backup.
Things worth knowing
- It will not click the buttons for you. It works out what to build and
where. You still build it.
- Nothing touches your account. No login, no password. Only public data.
- Screenshots stay on your computer. The image reading happens in your browser.
- Prices move. Recalculate before committing to something large.
